The party is over now, but two USWNT World Cup games top the list.
Highlights/Lowlights:
• The FIFA Women's World Cup went a bit sideways when the USWNT only managed a draw with Portugal because it moved the Round of 16 match to an earlier time where it pulled probably about half of what it would have had kickoff been later.
• The US crashing out this early has never happened so we'll get to see what the rest of the tournament pulls in for the first time. It might not be pretty, but it will help things down the road.
• The League's Cup is chugging along. UniMas did the heavy lifting this week with Chivas, Monterrey, and America.
• Club America's match against Chicago hit on 3 different networks (+ streaming but I don't have that number). 487k on UniMas, 201k on TUDN, 119k on FS1. For those wondering, Club America is the most popular club in the United States based on viewership.
• Leagues Cup on FS1 has so far been pretty low (sub 150k's). Season Pass is likely pulling a handful of viewers but reading the tea leaves, I don't think there's much Eng-lang interest in it.
• The Premier League starts back this weekend.
