Five In a Row, Lost

Columbus dropped yet another on Saturday night to bring their string of games lost in a row to five. It could get worse before it gets better as two strong LA teams head to town this week.

On the overall table, the Crew are now 15th and have the second-worst goal scoring rate in the league, which Caleb Porter seems to be doing nothing about.

It is looking very likely that this streak could reach 7 games before this time next week, so look out for some new stadium news or something to that effect to lift fan's spirits.

One last thought here is that I do believe that the team should be looking past Porter at this point. Not just the results, but it's just not clicking right. Gregg Berhalter is the new standard in Columbus. When he was brought in you could feel the energy as well as some team togetherness. With Porter, things are... like leftovers. At the start of the season, they heated up okay in the microwave but might need to be tossed out now.

This isn't to say Porter is a bad coach. Sometimes it's just not a good fit or situation.
