Soccer Viewership: JUN 5-12

The Champions League Final between Inter and Manchester City on CBS tops the week.

Highlights/Lowlights:

• A total of 3.7m tuned into the UCL Final with the major of that viewership coming from CBS.

• CBS was down about 500k vs last year. No Real Madrid or Barcelona likely drove down the numbers. CBS did note viewership was up on Paramount+ but didn't give a figure (which means it isn't pretty). It's possible the number was different as Serie A is a CBS property.

• CBS is up about +1% overall for their broadcast coverage YOY.

• MLS on FOX got a little bump this week likely from curious about Messi news people. FS1 saw no such bump. Just 82k bothered to tune in.

• The U20 Final pulled in nearly 500k on Telemundo. This event was bearly watched on its Eng-lang partners. Just another data point in how soccer just isn't penetrating that audience outside of big events.
