"Helltown" is the colonial nickname given to Front Royal, Virginia (then known as The Royal Front). It is a town in the Shenandoah Valley where my folks moved about 20 years ago. My brother and I brewed up a batch of beer there and called it Helltown Beer. The beer lives on in the form of this site - honest sports writing that doesn't prop up any organization. Creative freedom, analysis, critical thinking is what we do here. As for the actual beer? They say the beer was good. Really good. Legend has it that there is still more but it is buried deep in the Blue Ridge. - Larry
Larry W. Johnson, Writer and Site Owner
A degree in Graphic Design and Fine Art normally doesn't translate into 15 years of manufacturing experience (10 of that in operations management, process engineering and inventory control), but it has here. I also occasionally contribute to SB Nation's Columbus Crew portal called "Massive Report" and a Chicago Fire site "On The Fire." More recently, I have been getting into spirits, cordials, liqueurs.
